A lamp is something that you put on the sideboard or a bedside table. It uses a flame or a lightbulb to illuminate.

The word bulb refers to an object with a bulbous shape. A tulip bulb is a bulb, and a lightbulb is a bulb. But in Bibbs' presence it's worth differentiating between them :P
