Hi all

I have got a 2005 xt5 with factory sat nav head unit and have a problem!

My wife was driving the vehicle yesterday and the radio stopped working!

It plays cd's the sat nav works ok but has lost radio reception?

I have checked the connections at the back of head unit and everything plugged in.

Any help on this would be much appreciated

Thanks Mark.

Guess they are all away to bed.

One of my (older) RAVs has a problem and I reckon its corrosion at the base of the aerial/connection of the wire to the aerial. However even then I do get poor reception. Is it working at all - even badly?

Is it switched onto long wave by some quirk (no- not yer wife). A voltage blip knocked out the memory of the stations?

Dunno your radio version at all but is the radio station display showing?

Must be something simple.....

I have taken radio out checked all plugs ok poked a screwdriver down the antenna hole to see if the pitch changes and nothing checked settings on radio and still no joy!

I have come to conclusion that it is a fault inside radio unit!! mega£££££ I guess....

have spoken to a few radio repair specialists who tell me they cant touch it as only one company has the licence to touch toyota radios.. cant remember there name but seems a bit crazy to me! gonna phone toyotas now and get a quote.

wish me luck :crybaby:
