Gear Selection

hi guys im new to this site hello to all of you ....

anyway i just bought a toyota paseo for my daughter and everthing was going but now there seams to be a slight problem selecting gears sometimes when trying to go into first gear it selects 3rd gear instead and sometimes it wont come down the box from 3rd to second ......it doesnt do it all the time but its happening more often than it used to is there anyway to bleed the clutch or ajust it in any other way if thats what the problem is thanks
