Has anyone got any good ideas for mounting my tom tom one xl in my 4.3, for about 18mths now i have had one of those cradle type flexi mounts, but managed to break it to-day..I would prefer something where i haven't got wires trailing across my dash but I am open to ANY suggestions, Many Thanks  Stew

Here's 'one I made earlier' Stew. Not sure if you saw it first time round? LINK

I have used a modified version [with a fixed ball mount for my Becker Satnav] quite successfully for some time now. Just slips into the gap between the binacle trim and the dash moulding. Leaves no marks and keeps the nav in vision without obstructing the screen.

It doesnt fully solve the problem of the trailing lead but I haven't had any problems. Just lift it off and hide in armrest bin when not in use.

Thats excellent Dave  I like the position, on my cab it ends up only a couple of inches away from my steering wheel (prob shouldn't admit it but i can operate it with both hands on the wheel  ) I have seen a holder that has a long flexible support and the bottom fits in your drink holder, not sure about this as our ravs have larger than average drink holders but i will come up with something,, thanks for reply Stew.. Ps will be off forum for a week having a short break, hope weather improves  Stew
