i am just away to install my water temp gauge, however i cant remember which rad hose is the feed and which is the return and also which is it best to attach the temp gauge to?

also on the temp gauge adapter, there is the thread to accept the sender but there is also a wee cavity that doesnt go the whole way through the adapter but is blocked with a small screw, whats this for?

Hey aj, the top hose is the return hose so the hottest coolant is running through there which is where you want your temp gauge, same for oil aswell, ideally you want the temp where the oil is at its hottest. I know its not the best picture but mine is just behind the swirl pot, haven't got a sensor in there yet so just blanked it off. The small screw is for an earth lead.

There's this one, bit pricey but only one around at the moment or find someone breaking an mr2 turbo.

I'm not sure about the earth, i haven't started on my gauges yet.
