Hey, just wondering if anyone here has installed an aftermarket tachometer into their cars. I'm wanting to add this to mine. Mine being a 2004 Echo HB of the North American market. If someone can either break it down as to what steps I need to follow or where I need to splice my wires it would be muchly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey there,

I have a 2000 Echo, american model. I got a sunpro tach from autozone. there is a OBDII Scanner plug under dash it is a 16 pin adapter. The first pin on the bottom row, left to right is for the Tach readout. Hook tach wire there. Hook other wires in the fuse box, ground wire to a good metal surface. I got power from the ACC Fuse, left side of fuse not right side. Tach works great. I think you can figure out the wire for the lights, run to another fuse on left half of box, left side of fuse. This worked for my car, and should work for yours if wiring is the same. I found the wiring diagram at this website.
