Aygo 1.0 Litre Engine Verses I.q. 1.0 Litre Engine

Mine is a Aygo 1.0 litre engine, my bosses wifes is the I.Q. 1.0 litre engine. I've investigated as best i can to find the difference between these two engines with several references to the I.Q. engine 'being similar' to the Aygo engine. Does anybody know what exactly the diffences are (if any).

The reason I ask (& let me make this clear, i'm not complaining or anything) is the difference in road tax. The I.Q. being £0.00 the Aygo £20.00.

IQ and Aygo have the same engine, however, the IQ has a different map to reduce the fuel consumption. So the IQ consumes less even if the IQ is heavier than the Aygo (so it produces less CO2 and the road tax may be different between the 2 cars).

In the IQ, the 1kr-fe engine produces less torque and at higher RPM compared to the aygo.

IQ: 91nm at 4800 rpm

Aygo: 93nm at 3600 rpm.
