The title pretty much sums it up - RNS, how you finding the Prius as a cab? You've had it a week or so now, so should be finding pro's and con's of it.

i love it

erm... compared to the skoda it costing about 2/3 in fuel give or take...getting 58ish ill be able to work that out better as time goes on..

very easy to get the drunken people in and out coz there no transmission tunnel in the rear floor. but alot of passengers seem to be finding it hard to get the left had side rear seat belt on i looked at it and it seem fine so i don't understand.

it very well lit inside.. but a taxi driver that works night its hard to find a car what got good lights inside and the prius are really good.

only had one or to passage joke about it being a prius i don't care i used to have skoda so used to jokes lol

other than that about it..

funniest thing anyone said yet is i quote ..... "what do u think to these HYBIRD cars" that not my spelling that's what he said i had to bite my lip to make sure i didn't laugh.

other people have commented on how nice it is and they said the press have been overly nasty about hybrids... making out they where Weak slow cars..... alot of people just said it just like a normal car... and it is it i think..

PS sorry for my spelling and so on not my strong point.

Glad its working out ok. The rear seatbelt problem is due to the passenger tying to plug the seatbelt into the wrong socket. There are two sockets next to each other, but one is for the middle seatbelt and ONLY the middle seat belt will fit into it. Once you tell them to try the other socket the problem is solved.

You can also get the rear seatbelt beeper turned off if you ask the dealer nicely. Not sure if they're meant to do it, so don't go telling everyone. :!Removed!:

You'll also find that passengers will love the 'sportiness' of the acceleration the Prius gives. I've had quite a few comment on how surprisingly nippy it is.

So you have no regrets not getting a Skoda? I'm glad I didn't get one now. A lot of the blokes at work are moving away from Skoda as they're getting too expensive for what they are and they're not proving to be the most reliable of cars. I know of about 5 of our drivers who've had no end of problems with their Skodas, and I mean no end - dpf's, clutches, warning lights galore etc. A lot of others have chopped them in and changed to the Mondeo or old Avensis. None have gone for the Prius though!

I wouldn't write Skoda off just yet. New Greenline models are about to be launched, including a road tax free Octavia, and a Superb with only 114g/km CO2. I've spotted a few Superbs being run as taxi's in various places, E-class space for nearly half the purchase price can't be too bad. Buy the estate version and you could run a removal business on the side too!

Greenline? Hmmm, they're the ones with 105 bhp? so 0 to 60 in about 2 weeks? No good for anybody.

I do like Skoda's. I very very nearly bought the new Superb model, but from experience from my colleagues I'm now glad I didn't.

They're not proving to be the most reliable of cars.
