Hi everyone I know that this is an old subject but am getting fed up with the lack of sound in my car.

some nice kind previous owner has removed the stereo connectors and left a bit of a mess however....

I have searched all the forums and googled around to no avail. the wiring colours simply don't match !!!

this is a list of the wires that i have lurking behind the dash

Red , Blue , yellow , brown , green , black , white , black/red , white/green , grey/red , pink/blue , blue/brown (possible yellow but looks brown) and another green. all i need to know is where the hell they go

Car is a 91 uk car 3sfe engine basic model

i've tried many combinations and many fuses lol all to no avail.

Help !!!!

ah well then you do have a problem... so it's just bare wires and no connector!?

It's usually self explanatory but seeing as you have no connectors I can help. Not sure that anyone here could actually... unless they went out and had a look on their own MR2.

As I've said I have the ISO connectors and various other leads but have no idea what wires go where in the plug that goes to the original stereo

I've tried all the forums and workshop manual downloads but the colour coding is always different.

this photo says it all as this is all I have.

these are the wires with the silver bands around them

in all the forums the wiring seems to be the same but mine aren't

Daym that's bad! :o

Could yours have been adapted for a different stereo of maybe something other than a stereo and they have just left it like that?

If you have difficulty working out the diagram gimme a shout and i'll sort it out for you, but it is pretty straight forward if you are used to reading them.
