Tourer Rear Light Trouble

Had a bit of trouble with a loose connection on the passenger side rear light cluster of my tourer.

Think I have it sorted now but can anyone tell me what the lower bulbs are for. Are they fogs or reverse lights as I cant see them coming on.

Had a bit of trouble with a loose connection on the passenger side rear light cluster of my tourer.

Think I have it sorted now but can anyone tell me what the lower bulbs are for. Are they fogs or reverse lights as I cant see them coming on.

One of the lights is a reversing lamp and the other is a rear fog lamp. Both only work with the ignition on either when reverse is selected or rear fog switched on together with side and tail lamps.

I have figured out which light is which but am having trouble getting them to work.

The brake and tail lights are okay but the indicators, fog and reverse seem loose in the holders and are coming on and off intermittently. Has anyone else had problems like this as i reckon the lighting clusters are poorly designed.
