Noise On The Driverside

I am new to the Toyota Forum and have just purchase a 2009 Toyota Auris. I have noticed whilst driving I am aware of noise outside the car. I previously had a Fiat and I did not hear anything outside whilst driving. Is that normal. It is not a whining noise just sounds like I can hear the road or cars passing as i drive.

It's normal because the engine is small, sounds like Daewoo Matiz :)
