hi all been looking into getting a starlet gt turbo so i thought id sign up here and find out some information about these jap cars :)

im only 18 soon to be 19 and been around the french cars with the TU & XU engines for around 5 years. never set eyes on a jap engine before but im a big fan of the starlet gt and no am no boy racer i hate them!

my previous cars are all french as well and pretty unreliable! my first car was an AX GT (pretty fast, surprised a few!) 205 xs same as the gt except 30-50kg heavier and my current car a 106 xs 1.6 8v good car, good for the motorways and the good old lanes!

so anyway could someone give me some information on these then please e.g. engine/codes, reliability, rust and general things to look out for, cheers
