Mirrors - How To Seperate / De-Chrome ?

Hi All

Getting more wrapping done today and we need to figure out how to remove the chrome cover on the iQ3's mirrors so that we can wrap around it and fit it back on the car

I'm assuming there's a way to do it ? if not what happens if you need to change the indicator light bulb ?

Has anyone a quick description / guide on how to do it ?

cheers

Raj

Just use a credit card sized piece of plastic in between the chrome cover and the mirror housing and gently wiggle it along the edge until it starts to come off. Then you should just be able to pull the chrome cover off towards the front of the car. It's a snap on/off fit.

That's the right thing to do. I had fun unassembling my mirror when it was smashed by a lorry and I can confirm this is the way to do it.

has anyone got any pics plz of this process ?

Check the menu download site in my audio installation topic, I think I have seen an installation guide on side mirror in the list.
