Hi, looking to get some 6000k HIDs for the RAV.

Any recommendations on any tried/trusted sellers.

Am i right in saying a 4.2 2002 would be H4?

Thanks

Neil

Hi Neil,

got mine for my 4.3 from http://www.hids4u.co.uk/home.php

Totally agree with Baz - everything else is like going back to oil lamps

However they are not quite legal as aftermarket equipment - there is a previous post on here that gives details.

Hi I don't want to be a kill joy but watch what you are doing true hid xenon lights are filled with a different gas that,s not very nice, that's what makes them ice white. I have a TT and they were a £1500 option this is not just because the bulbs are £100 each but they need a special way to be driven they are also constantly self leveling so as to not blind any one, they are not legal with out this you may well get pulled and may also fail an MOT. I have to say though they look great in the TT but even though they self level a lot of people still flash me.

There again you only live once so go for it!!!

Hi Jako,

that was what I was getting at when I said "not quite legal". As you say they should have the levelling devices and headlamp washers plus the bulbs and lamps need to be E marked as a pair. Having said that, there is a fantastically sharp cut-off and as I have only fitted them to the dip beams they don't seem to cause other drivers a problem.
