I'm looking to get a Toyota Avensis D4D around the 2002 mark, I was just wondering is there any known issues when them.

also what should i look out for when buying privately.

hi mate

open a bonet and try to find negatives under. the diesel engine must be clean without any oil/fuel traces/leaks.

besides -- have alook at the tail pipe condition -- whether or not the internal pipe side is covered with too much of cabon. if such is there then the engine has got an issue with injectors and turbocharger (if any). as to others - you know what to do/
