No Airbag Warning Light At Startup

Hi all.

I have a 00 reg pre-August Avensis 1.6. Its due for the NCT (equiv to MOT) in a few days and looking through their tests I see that I should be showing the airbag warning light when the car is started. Mine doesn't light. I've changed the bulb and checked the connections to the dash. They are in order.

I would have expected a flashing light if there was an issue somewhere with the controller, sensors or airbags. Is there a fuse that I should be checking, or can anyone think of any other reasons for this?

Hi James - I am assuming yes; I normally notice these things pretty quickly, though I couldn't say precisely when. I would admit that reading the NCT manual focused my mind on the matter :D

I presume that you have checked the bulb in the dash?? i.e. that the new one you have installed actually works.
