Tow Bar

Has anyone out there any experience of fitting a westfalia removable tow bar to an Auris T Spirit? I am especially interested in any problems fitting the vehicle specific single wiring kit? My Toyota dealer is asking upwards of £750 to supply and fit, there has to be a cheaper way.

Thanks

IMO £750 is an outrageous amount to ask to fit a tow bar!!!

I fitted a Brinks (same one you get if you get a Toyota fitted one) removeable one myself, fitting the towbar itself was really simple, have to cut the rear undertray but no big deal. Fitting the electrics took a bit longer but wasn't really that difficult. Working out how bits of trim came off without breaking anything to run the wiring was the most diffucult aspect.

As said by previous poster, if you are not confident about doing the work yourself, get some quotes from local garages or towbar specialists, I don't think you'll have much of a problem beating £750!

Thanks for the info, I have no worries about my abilities, just, as you said, the problems running the cables without damaging trim items. Can I assume that this didn't prove too onerous?
