Rav4 Vs X-Trail

I was going to buy either the X-Trail or RAV4 and ended up deciding on the Rav for a couple of reasons. The diesel engines in the X-Trail are meant to be made of plastercine and the turbos are very susceptible to leak - just have a look over at the X-Trail forums for more info. The main point that made me choose the Rav was that the interior of the X-Trail has the dash in the middle which looked odd whereas the Rav has the dash where it is meant to be - in front of the driver.

Yes I know that but we are talking 'up to date' models surely or where do we start / finish comparing??

When I had my first Rav, it got rear ended and I had an X Trail as a courtesy car for approx 10 days. It was at that time a top of of the range Aventura.

It had all the bells and whistles, but I can honestly say that I just did not like it.Could not put my finger on any specific problems, I just liked my Rav

better. (which was a 4.2 at that time, the best model Rav) thumbsup.gif

Cheers Davrav.

Rangersmastiffs - I was merely sharing my experience as my budget didn't stretch to a newer model.
