Replacement Exhaust

need a new exhaust soon...just go to dealer ?...how much ?....anyone know ?...or sporty replacement better...i need full system not just back box...can i loose the cat ?...so many questions !...sorry..

hard to say not knowing wut vehicle you are talking about

on my 88 4x 2.4 - 4 cyl. p'up i got a header from downey mfg. in so. cowifornia

and then made a 2 1/4" pipe going from cat to flowtech 'raptor' $20 muffler

good for about 8 hp i'd say

muffler is the largest gain

do NOT use stock xhaust unless you like paying more for less power...

i took off cat since it wuz the only part of tiny stock xhaust left on mine

which is a federal offense in amerikuh

EPA law...

motor revs out more freely without it and xhaust is much louder

i'm gettin a free flow cat for my 2 1/2" pipe

larger xhaust is crucial to other hp motor mods

i have o/s valves and a 'mild efi' cam too

which is illegal but passes emmisions

next comes bored or larger throttle body and new intake/efi system

also not street legal in cowifornia
