Hi there guys and gals, I’m new to the mr2 game having only driven 50 miles in one before a quick trip to the garage turned into massive epic. I won’t go into details unless you really want it but the long and short of it is that I need a new engine for my 1992 MR2 GT which I absolutely love. So I was hoping that you guys might be able to give me some ideas on where I could get an engine from and some rough idea to the cost of buying one?

I had no great problem finding a wrecked MR2 for my donor cars for the RAV4 conversions. I bought 3 front-ended cars all for around £800 each.

Apart from the source mentioned above, you have the option of various on-line spare parts yards... like parts-gateway for one. Unlike eBay you get a short guarantee from them.
