I have just bought the IQ Multi Drive and i have done 1000 miles. On a full tank i am getting about 300 miles tops. I was expecting more. My avg mpg is 47. I also drive very smoothly.

By the way how much does the Reserve fuel tank have in it? It just blinks instead of making a beeping noise to warn you

would appreciate people's views on this...

I get around the same mileage as you, got a 1.0 manual. I don't really leave it to long when the light starts flashing. I average about 54mpg, so could probably go another 50 odd miles before really needing to fill up

There is an earlier thread on here, some guys were saying they can get between 50 & 70 miles from when the gauge starts flashing. I've gone about 40/50 miles before when I couldn't get to a petrol station, so you definitely have some time when it does start.

Hope that helps.

I average about 400 miles per full tank on my 1.0 manual, and the last block starts flashing when I've done approx 300 miles, meaning that I drive about 100 miles on the flashing block. This is partially due to the actual flat design of the fuel tank itself.

I've done this pretty regularly now, but it always feels a bit iffy when I get up to close to 400 miles. I just use the odometer/trip meter to help calculate this when in the car.

My overall average is 56mpg so far.

That is quite alot of miles on the reserve tank. Strange...

I think as its a new car it will take time to break in abit and the mpg will improve. Is that a true statement?

I've filled up twice when the last block has been flashing and I reckon it's got about 8 litres left when it starts flashing. I wish it had a mileage countdown as one of the display options, like the Prius and my old Lexus has got, it's very useful when your fuel's low.

Mine flash at around 8-11 Litres left, its alright for me since I know I still have 1/3 of fuel left in the tanks but it scare my mum off all the time, even I have told her do not worry about it, she is just too stubborn to follow the fuel display and fuel up at 1/3 all the time. Totally understandable from her view and this is something I really want Toyota to improve if they are going to make an IQ mk2.
