Rotten Egg Smell

I have 2003 Corolla CE and in cold weather the exhaust has a strong rotten egg (sulphur) smell. Toyota says there is no repair and that I should use premium fuel. I did not buy a Corolla to use premium fuel. This has gone to arbitration. Is anyone else experiencing this rotten egg smell?

This one comes up again and again. New cars DO smell of rotten eggs, it's while the CAT beds in and it won't be there forever. Theres nothing to worry about except your Toyota dealer not knowing this as it's with all new cars not just Toyotas. You don't have to use premium at all.

The same thing happened to me just yesterday! At first I thought it was something in the air-condition filter, but I checked it out this morning and it was fine.

Thanks for the tip Jimma
