Auto Diff-Lock?

Howdy folks, winter is on its way so my Supra shall soon be rendered "useless" if the weather is anything like last year. So im currently looking for a 5 door Rav4 and ive seen a nice one which is an auto, which brings me nicely onto my query.. do Mk1 Rav4's with an AUTO gearbox have a Diff-lock on the dash? I know the manual ones do. Many thanks.

The auto models are fitted with an auto limited-slip diff to the rear wheels only,and so the answer to your question is no.

The 4.1 manual box is a pretty strong box in the main, whereas I have read of some issues on the autobox and related equipment.

I have 2 manual 4.1s which perform amazingly well on most road conditions.

My auto Previa on the other hand is a floating gondola on ice. But it is automatic and a pleasure to drive on more normal roads.

yep im avoiding the auto,and seeking a manual now however im trying to sus out the difference between the specifications ive seen a nice GX and a nice Freesport both seem to be pretty much the same veh apart from Freesport has body colored trim and alloys. So if anyone sees a 4.1,5 door, Gx,Vx 98> please let me know as it would be much appreciated.
