Rav 4 1.8 Gearbox

i have a rav 1.8 nv 2002(brilliant car) ,,,,the gearbox has packed in ,are there other toyota gearboxes that can be used ,having a nightmare getting a desent priced gearbox.

Its not a car that I know much about. Sorry. The easiest way is to identify the engine and then from that try some of the internet based parts suppliers for matching gearboxes.

I have successfully bought secondhand gearboxes and engines from suplliers via sites like parts gateway. There are a few around. Most if not all are down south, as theres a far larger market of smashed up cars due to the way non-Scots drive ( :lol: )
