99 Avensis Key

Hi ! Got 1999 Avensis , but only one key. Seem to get lost following links to key websites and end up nowhere. Anyone got sound advice??

Yes it has remote buttons. Casing has seen better days, and iam concerned about its lifespan.Would like to relegate it to spare key.

I wish you well in your search for a reasonably priced key, although I think I will cost to have it programmed. Main dealer charge is £200 plus.

In your case I would go for a working second hand key with remote :

And a key casing with an uncut blade and button holes :

Get the blade cut, and assemble the parts, before programming it to your car.

Yet again, I have not tried this myself, but it may be worth a go.

Don't know about locksmiths, but i guess they can provide both

the uncut blade itself, as well as the cutting of it.

That way you would only need to order the used key with remote.

Also check if your key is Denso or Valeo type, to get the correct one.
