Avensis D4D 2008

hi all

Had engine job done last week new head and short block,toyota dealer delievered back to my house,went to drive it the following morning and found it very difficult to select reverse gear,got it after fourth attempt,first and second arent much good either,it still happens even after a long drive 200k,brought it back to dealer he siad its normal...my car is a 2008 d4d 2.0 6 speed avensis h/b 60k..any advice as to the cause or my course of action please

i would have thought the car should be as good if not better than when taken in so if the gear change is not as it was i would be inclined to go back again and tell them so.

i have the 2010 avensis tourer t4 and it is not the best gear change i have had especially when cold but i have got used to it and know the ways to get the best.

go back tell them the gear change is not as good as it was.
