Local mentioning the fire brigade, reminds me of one of the best cards I saw my cousin send to my uncle years ago.

I can't do it justice, but the wording went something like:

"Place a candle on the cake - one for every year. Light them very carefully, one by one. Stand back from the raging inferno and when the fire is good and hot, burn your birth certificate and have a happy birthday".

Anchs, I was given a dishonorable discharge from the D&J last year, citing "conduct unbecoming" just because I took my skate board! Unbelievable innit,like.
