Previa Mpg

Hello all, I have recently acquired a 94 Previa GL auto 2.4l and am curious about the mpg, I previously had a diesel galaxy and a diesel shogun, both of which gave over 55mpg, the previa only seems to give about 16mpg around town, is this normal for a petrol previa?

I would say thats about right for town driving. i had a 2000 2.4 previa and i was getting about the same. Cillasman

I get more than that - about 24mpg around town and nearer 30 on long journeys unless I floor the pedal.

Its a 1997 2.4 auto. I don't use the previa for many short around town journeys as I have 2 RAV4s which are far more easily parked. (ie the length is handier).
