What Are The Most Useful Gauges To Put In My Pod?

Hiya,

I've got a twin A-pillar pod to house two 60mm gauges. One hole I've put a GReddy boost gauge which is fine, but I'm wondering what would be the most useful gauge to fill the other hole? It will have to be in the GReddy 60mm gauge range (I'll check what's available in a sec) but I was thinking of either: EGT, oil pressure or oil temp?

What do you lot think?

Matt

Yea the only other gauges are:

EGT

Fuel pressure

Oil pressure

Oil/Water temp

So what do you think I should get?

I'd go for Oil temp .. then you can tell when you can boot the turbo ..

That's exactly what I thought Mr Bibbs :P

And your oil temp rises a lot on high speed runs etc. By the way has the rev3 turbo got an oil cooler?

Don't think they have Oil coolers .. SPL do one that sits at the back of the engine bay .. inbetween the SPL exhaust cans .. I know of one that may be for sale ..

i've got an EGT as its a good indicator of when you may run into det etc also if your playing with boost you can make sure everything stays within the safety limits

just my 2p

I may be interested Bibbs, let me know some more details and I'll see.

Hmm, I want be able to make sure everything is safe... EGT would be good up there.

I would ideally like a 60mm EGT gauge for the pod and Oil temp, pressure and volts in a pod like this...

Yes they have oil coolers.

on the turbo block, the oil passages for the turbo unit is pre-plumbed and piston oil coolers are present.

Cheers
