Drl On High Beam

I'm planning to use this diagram for my DRL;

 I designed this for another car that uses H4 bulbs (next week I hope can fit it) but it's very suitable with my Auris (eliminating, of course low beam in the diagram, and D3 diode). This module puts in series high beam bulbs when ignition is on, and it's coming to normal state when the parkers are turned on, or the flash to pass lights are used. Before I fit this on my car I'd like to "hear" another oppinion...

Hi, when i was doing my drl's i also thought about using my high beams but couldn't think of a way to use them without sacrificing them. I like this idea. Would love to see some pics when done.............

there's no need to sacrifice high beam, ground wire of driver side (or that side where the Battery is) high beam bulb must be cut, in order to insert the new circuit...

Finally I fitted yesterday my DRL module made by myself, and it's working great ! I'm more and more happy with the result. This is the final diagram that I used for...

I took a couple of pcs, first is with DRL on, and second is with headlights on (low and high beam on).

Excellent job there Tavy, its great when you can put together something like this and have it working. I too am pleased with my homemade DRL's its a great sense of satisfaction.

Also love the colour of your ride. A lovely deep red.
