I'm looking into lowering my celica pretty soon and have been comparing the trd springs against eibachs pro kit and from what I've found they are very similar, but I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with eibachs sportline kit (which gives a bigger drop 1.8 inches (front) and 2.4 inches (rear) theres not much difference in the price between the pro kit and the sportline kit so does anyone have any feedback on them? Are they more likely to cause damage to the shocks in the long run due to the bigger drop?

Don't know anything about the Sportlines but the TRDs and Pro-kits are totally dissimilar as the TRDs are linear springs and the Eibachs are progressive for which they are famous for and the best. The load ratings are also completely different.

Ok, what I meant to say was similar in drop and comfort, not so much how they work. I found out the spring rates of the eibachs through another forum but I couldnt find the trd ratings. the eibachs are as follows

Eibach

Sportlines

F: 178 lb/in 1.8" / R: 208 lb/in 2.4" (progressive spring rate)

Pro-Kit

F: 150 lb/in 1.2" / R: 203 lb/in 1.1"

Also from what ive found the stock spring rates are

Toyota

Stock:F: 136 lb/in / R:168 lb/in

although i'm not sure if this is the same for all models of the 7th gen celica. Perhaps someone could clarify this for me?

Are you saying that the Eibach pro kit would be better than TRD springs then because they are progressive and not linear, forgive me for the questions but my last car was lowered on coilovers and the rates were far to hard for the roads I have to drive on, so I dont really know alot about springs on there own.

All 7s are on the same stock springs except the GT which is fitted with TTE/TRD as standard.

Here are the rates for TRD/TTEs - 160F & 212R

If you like a solid driving feel then fit TTEs but if you are looking for comfort under normal driving conditions then go for Eibach Pros. Pootling round in town or on smooth roads they give a comfortable ride much like stock. But when the going gets fast and the corners are beckoning then their progressive nature kicks in and you'll have a big smile. My car is very stiff anyway with the Whiteline ARBs and strut bar which gives me the tight turn-in and the near elimination of lift off oversteer I was looking for, so the Eibachs are more forgiving when we encounter rough or uneven surfaces.

So in my situation where my daily commutes are generally on fairly rough country roads the eibachs are going to be better for me, but if I do decide I want the car to be able to take more in the future (for if I decide to take it to the track) then upgrading the ARBS and adding a strut brace will do the trick.

Would you mind posting a picture of how your car sits on the eibachs? I'm quite keen to see your car from the spec list in your sig.
