Swiftcover Insurance Car Change

Has anyone on here got insurance through swiftcover?

I changed to them at the end of October on my current car, and then found the Auris that i am buying the day after, so in a weeks time i will need to change cars, but as i will be transferring my personal plate, i'm unsure how to go about it.

Most companies like to have the number plate, which means my current car will come up. If i use the existing plate on the new car, the details of the car will be correct, but not the number plate.

Has anyone had to do this before?

I'm not sure if there will be admin fee's for changing details over, so i'm reluctant to try and get it wrong and up paying more than i should.

Any tips or advice would be welcome.

when you ring them tell them that when you tuck out the policy you told them about a possable change of car inc plate change and you was told that there would be no charge as it was partly why you went with them !! ive done this twice and never been charged extra !! good luck

Swiftcover is an online only insurer, so that wouldn't work!

I don't mind paying a small admin fee if to change the details, but i don't want to have to pay to change the car details, and then pay again to change the plate details.

I did have a quick look yesterday and i think i've sorted it, but i can't commit to the changes until i have an exact delivery date for the car.
