A Couple Of Questions.

Hi folks.

I'm getting my Auris today [previously had 2 Yaris'].

Just wondered if the door mirrors dipp automatically when reverse is selected. If they don't, is it possible to tweak the software so they do?

Secondly; If they indicator stalk is operated harshly, by stressed clients [i'm a driving instructor BTW] it is possible to turn on headlights and ultimately full beam. Is there any way of preventing this? No cellotape suggestions please

As far as I know the mirrors don't dip on any version... certainly not on mine (Facelifted March 2010 1.33) The electrics for the mirrors don't appear to be under any software control and are just standard "hardwired" electrics being retractable with a switch and control of mirror glass with 4 way pad.

Re the indicators... you would have to go through sidelights first to get to headlights... can see the problem though. Perhaps a simple warning buzzer that comes on when either are on and a simple switch to disable it for night driving are all that is required. A buzzer or light could be wired across one of the rear lights with a simple inline switch to disable it when required... fairly easy DIY job and not very invasive.
