2006 Hilux D4D Airbag Light Staying On

hi today my hiluxes airbag light came on, it comes on when you turn the key goes off when the motor starts, then a couple of minutes later it comes on and stays on, anybody else had this problem??

The management system has found a fault, this could be anything! you need to get the vehicle in to Toyota

One of the most common causes if secondary restraint warnings on many makes of car is down to poor connectioins beneath the front seats as the wiring harness is exposed in this area and prone to movement.

Its quite common for such faults to arise after a car has been left in for service. Either a long or shorted legged mechanic jumps into the drivers seat and yanks it back or forward. Definitely worth a look in my opinion.:)

cheers fellers, i called in to the local toyota dealer and they said a broken spring thingy in the steering coloumn was a known problem area with this sort of thing
