Hi

I was just wondering how close I might be to the record - my Picnic (petrol) has now passed 205,000 with no major work on the engine. Some other bits are now starting to fail and I'm wondering if it is worth investing in a car that has served me well for over 13 years ... and still moves very nicely on long motorway journeys.

Not sure what the record is but you are a long way off it!!! We had a taxi customer who had done 500K miles, same engine etc, just replaced the usual pads /discs / clutch etc. Wasnt on a Picnic but an old Carina E

welcome to the forum...

thats quite a low mileage - it should run for a few more miles yet. A case of looking after it as you've been doing.

Hello david

Well done with that mileage.

I've asked before but since you are in something like a similar position to myself I'll ask again, would you be interested in starting some kind of Picnic Motor Club? The objective would be no more than sharing a mutual admitation/interest in the first instance.

If so I'd be glad to hear
