Servicing Costs At Toyota

Could anyone tell me how much it would cost for a Major service, ie the 60,000 mile at Toyota? I'd use my local garage but they use cheap parts (oil, filters, brake pads etc) I understand its probably the labour that costs most as id imagine it will take approx two and a half hours but im a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my cars running right and I know it'll be toyota parts and fluids getting used. Sorry for all the questions but im new to the RAV4. :fear:

Why not buy the service parts from Kingo at a discount and get your local garage to fit them?

Pardon me for being abusive but do you rerally expect a dealer to even know anything about your RAV 4.1 ??? Trust me - they don't.

I'm not getting into a public argument on this forum but if you send me a personal message ( PM ) then I can give you loads more detail. Especially as you are local !

.....and if Bothy suggest you use the garage he uses, which he recommended to me to my great satisfaction, you should give them a try. Made a great job of servicing / inspecting / reporting on wife's 3 door 4.2 granite at 30k miles recently.

Big Kev

I was quoted £145 for a normal service and £225 for the big service on my T180 but after a bit of haggling I got the big service for £189 and they gave me a litre of top up oil free now I was happy with that service mind you I was paying them £840 for a tow bar aswell so maybe that helped and it was in my local Toyota main dealer

I've just been looking through all my service/ maintenance sheets during last 6 years, and it appears that my local dealership have skimpted on some 'Loyalty club discounts' to me

On a vehicle at 8 to 9 years old...30% discount is to be applied on labour, and 10% on parts !.

When i had my DMF done earlier this year i didnt get the labour discount..thats a lot of money :o

Will be contacting them shortly...being polite..but firm,if no joy......then toyota customer serv's....

See what happens
