Loss Power Avensis T3S 2003

Driving Avensis t3 diesel and in 5th gear seemed to lose power and engine management light came on last night. Stopped at traffic lights and could only drive it < 15mph with foot to floor. Tried it this morning and seemed ok but light still on then after a 2 mins loss of power almost completely.

Hi there!

Did you read the code by any chance to see why the EML came on? I have got the same problem: P0488 EGR valve, throttle body position/ control range. If it is that, try to clean the valve it should work. With me didn't even after I put a new one and a new throttle body, mine could be a cable, bad fuel or maybe needs re programming.
