2010 Avensis - Phone Book Transfer - Tns510

Hi Folks

Got my HTC desire paired up without any issues to the TNS510 in my 2010 Avensis TR, but the phonebook won't transfer. I can push them 1 contact at a time (The desire and Android won't let you select multiple contacts to push) but not sync them. When I try to transfer the phonebook it just sit's saying only do it when safe and transmit phonebook data. The tech docs on Toyota say the desire is 100% compatible, but I am hitting this glitch with a desire running Froyo (Android 2.2) and a Desire running a custom ROM.

Has anyone had any success with transfering the phonebook from a Desire to the TNS510 Nav unit in the new TR, the less than premium premium unit used to do it fine in the Prius.

I also am having an issue transferring my phone contacts from my HTC Thunderbolt to my new 4 Runner. I can pair, when when I go to add contacts from my phone, it stays paired but disconnects all while the screen on my non.nav 4 runner keeps saying tranferring data....I eventually have to hit cancel. At a loss for words here. I have a lot of numbers and doing it one by one will be cumbersome....

Any suggestions and did you get any useful information?

I had a similar problem with my work phone and same head unit. The easiest way to transfer is to use another phone. Copy all contacts to a donor phone (I used my Nokia 5800 and then transfer. The phone book is stored in the car, so once there will work with all phones paired.
