Battery Charging

Hi

The Battery on my 4.1 gx Auto has gone flat is it possable to charge it up by cliping the charger leads on the Battery wile it is still in the car? (don't want to lose the radio code etc) Or could this dammage the electrics?

I recharge mine in car whenever it needs. The early RAVs are not so temperamental (high-folluting electronics) as the more recent computerised barges.

We havn't used it for about 3 months but it need it out the garage it happens quite a lot on the 4.1 common fault i think
