Autocar's story on some spy shots featuring the next Citroen C1. The images aren't great, but could give a clue as to how the new Aygo is shaping up. Apparently it will be longer (groan) and "more luxurious". I hope they don't lose sight of the philosophy of the three cars though. What do other people think of this?

Oh Dear

As long as it leaks, we'll be at home in it....

Looks alright to me, I think the Citroen is the best looking of the bunch to start with.

The 1.2L turbo engine sounds like fun!

Seriously, who's designing these things???

I think they'll probably turn out looking okay... they must involve current customers at the design stage who love the cars for what they are. Let's not forget that these images are pretty grainy (half the car doesn't even look real!) so whilst these images probably give a strong hint, I wouldn't say they're the be all and end all. But I think everyone's in agreement here - we're all hoping they don't lose sight of the current cars' ethos.

Perfectly put, i think it looks awful !!!!

Well, well, well. I posted something similar about the 107 face lift, and THE MODERATOR at that time MOVED the post saying it had nothing to do with the Aygo. I m surprised this post is still here. Not a happy bunny! :ffs:

P.s Thanks to Aygogummy for posting something relating to the Aygo.

I think it looks alright until the rear shots. In my opinion the back end looks awful. What's with the black around the rear light cluster too? Very chavvy!

I seriously doubt if the new C1 will look like this.

For a car that needs to be cheap to produce I see WAY too much "sharp" lines

on the panels. the 101 (which is rumoured to replace the 107) is even worse.

Sharp panellines are hard to make, thus expensive...

There's lots around the rear end that I think will come from the 108, those rear creases are very fitting with Peugeot's forthcoming new design language. I too think this looks a bit outlandish to be the new C1, and the pictures to look slightly suspect. However, I suspect most of Autocar's story is fairly on the money... they mention the addition of an 'Exclusive' model to the C1 range, so that would probably sporn more luxurious Aygos and 108s. I think things will be clearer some time next year when the triplets will have been around for an astonishing 6 years! Their designs have worn incredibly well in my opinion (they still look thoroughly modern and simple) so it would be a shame to see them ruined with something overly fussy. We'll wait and see! :)

I personally think the pics are real but by the time the accoutants and safety experts have had their say a lot of those sharpe lines will disappear. Seen this a lot with concept cars at car shows. Shame as it does look different :-)

Those pictures look like someone photoshopped the existing car.
