Electric Window Not Functioning Properly After Car Battery Change

My car developed a front electric passenger window that would rebound from closing if using the "single-shot" with the window switch i.e. it would go all the way up then rebound to 3/4's open, as if an object had been caught in it. Then I suffered a flat car Battery a couple of months ago and removed it to recharge. Hey presto on reinstallation of the Battery the window worked perfectly. I suffered a flat Battery again yestrday (dead after 7 years) and replaced it with a new one today... passenger window perfect, now drivers window has lost the one-shot facility. Is there a way to "reset" the windows? Only thing I can think of is that I opened the driver window when the battery was dud, but had enough juice to operate window!

On the MK1 avensis, you had to hold the auto button for five seconds in fully closed, and perhaps fully opened position

to reset the auto power window system. For the MK2 avensis you can have a peek at this thread :

Thanks. I don't know if I did what you suggested, but the window is working fine now.
