Hello all,

I have a problem with my 2007 Toyota Corolla Verso in that the central locking will not engage unless you push firmly against the left rear passenger door.

Has anyone else had this problem or know a possible solution to resolve it?

Regards,

Ian

sounds a bit like the door isnt closing 100% or the sensor that tells the CL ECU that the door is closed is out of adjustment

but i might be wrong

The is closing 100% externally but obviously there is somewhere in the workings where the connection isn't completing.

To add to this, the Battery is now flat as there is a door open warning indicator that is always on.

Look at the inside of the left back door for a dent.

I have a dent just there, that also causes the interior light to burn sometimes.

The dent is caused by the belt clip! Also my experiance is that the belts roll up verry poorly!

If this is the case you can easely solve it by putting a patch (the kind you would use for under a table or chair leg) on the dent.

Hope this solves your problem.

I made several complaints about this, but Toyota does nog give a solution and the don't repair the dent under waranty eighter. The only thing they do is spray some product on the belt to make it roll up better. But this does not really help. The person getting out of the back seat always have to check for the belt clip not being between the door and chassis.
