Prius Misconceptions - Show This To The Doubters!

Saw this clip posted on the US Prius forum and thought it a great thing to show to the hybrid doubters who we all come across. I'm guessing that Mr Llewellyn is a hybrid and EV fan, though perhaps it's the Kryten in him?

Love it! Something us owners know but great regardless with typical british humour.

Wonder what speed the test driver got it up to?

and I trust he had it in Power mode

RL missed the correct answer when he addressed the Hybrid cars are expensive to repair question. He failed to mention that the Prius is Toyota's most reliable car.

Hmmm... I recognise that location; the performance video was shot on the MIRA testing track. Sorry guys, but just to put the Prius performance into perspective, here's a photo of another car on the MIRA course grabbing "a bit of air" on "the jump".

Must admit it's a cleverly made and amusing video though. Nice one.

The fact it can jump is hardly very surprising though, I've checked the reg out and it's registered to an XF 5.0V8 Porfolio, 380bhp and claimed 0-62 of 5.5. £435 per annum road tax also puts it into perspective!

And it probably only has a driver whereas the Prius had a passenger and that Mr Llewellyn looks like he could weigh a pound or two! lol ;)

That's impressively close. It was in fact a 5 litre Jaguar XFR. 510 BHP, 0-60 4.7 sec.

It was difficult to make out the last letter of the registration, and I did try a few variations expecting an XFR to show, but the nearest I could find was the Portfolio with the last three letters being CZV.
