Rav4 Transmission Problem

Craig Simpson

Recommended Posts

Hi, My name is Craig Simpson and I'm new to this site. Recently bought a 2008 Rav4, as in 5 weeks ago. I'm having problems with 1st & 2nd gear as in it being stiff and bobbling into the gear. Took the car back to the dealer who returned it on Friday after having had the car in and renewing some linkages, they had the car for eleven day's supposedly due to snow and delivery problems. It seems worse than ever and is in my opinion quite dangerous, especially when pulling onto a busy roundabout when you struggle to engage the correct gear. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem as I intend to return to the dealer tomorrow.

Hope someone can help.

Craig.

Dinna worry ma man. Help is on hand.... if you do a search of the RAV4 section you'll see there is a few comments about the stiffness of the gearchange. You may need to start drinking pints of heavy with your left hand!
