Brake Pad Change / Grinding Noise

Noticed the other day a grinding noise when i applied the brakes. Had a look round and noticed a deep score mark on the brake disc on the rear wheel. Noise much worse today and seems to happen also when im cornering. Might have something lodge in like a stone. Cant imagine the brake pad has worn down that much.

Anyways. going to have a look tommorrow and was asking if anyone knows the size of the wrench need to undo the two bolts holding the caliper on and also any instructions on how to replace the pads. Ie how theyre held in etc. Have done this on many cars before but never on an avensis.

Cheers

Unfortunatley your looking at new pads and discs.

The noise is a warning system built into the pad to tell you when they're worn but if you drive on it too long (like just down the road a few miles) it scores the disc. How many miles have the pads done? I've managed to wear some out in 8000 miles once. Last set only lasted 14000 before i had the same problem as yourself with the grinding noise.
