I just wondered if anyone with the Hybrid could tell me what the "P" button on the center console does? I'm guessing something to do with parking?

its the equivalent of the 'p' on an automatic.

There is some discussion as to whether it should be used instead of the parking brake.

Personally, I use it both to wait at lights (if I'm gonna be there a while) and when parking in the garage at home instead of the parking brake - actually seem to use the parking brake (foot operated on the Prius) very little.
