New Guy Yaris T Sport Help

Hello guys/girls.

My names Ali, i'm new to the TOC, and just bought a Yaris T sport in silver yesterday. It drives fine and is all well, needs a damn good service though.

Just a quick question, my car when at idle (stopped) seems abit lumpy, the revs are fine at about 700rpm, but just the car feels as though its slightly vibrating. I figured getting the service might resolve this cleaning the injectors with some lucas additive and oil change, sparky's etc. Booked in for Saturday.

Its dash "displays" 38900miles service history and previous MOT's to back that up. Wether that is or not I guess being the old school motorist you just take it in the end with trust.

Anyone else had this issue and if so what was it for you?

I will upload some pictures soon.

All advice/suggestions welcome.

Thank you.

I'd say the rough idle is pretty normal. The revs tend to drop almost to the point of cutting out, then it vibrates then they stabilise around 600rpm. My t-sport's done it since new. Only really noticeable when you've got a lot of electrical things on, like the lights, fan, wipers etc.

Thankyou Chris, does yours tend to do it at 600rpm too? i thought it being at 600rpm was not right, it does feel like it revs down to almost cutting out but stays fine in the end. It stays at 600rpm but still vibrates, not harsh jus a slight annoyance.

I have it booked in for a service on Saturday, full whack, and Im going to tank it 2mro and put some injector cleaner into it.

Once again thanks for the reply.

Yeah it generally happens when braking to a complete standstill. It tends to go to the brink of stalling, vibrate a little, then stabilise. It doesn't sit there vibrating, it's just a momentary thing, but still very noticeable.

yeah when your braking its most noticeable, i thought 600rpm was abit low, but I guess it maybe normal then, ive just posted a new topic regarding my Speedo that has stopped working this morning, everything else rev counter, digi display fuel etc work just thats not moving?
