Hi

Run a rav 4 and before that had a yaris verso automatic and yaris 1.3.

Girlfriends son looking to save on costs from his 1.6 focus and looking for a diesel possibly.

What mpg should he realistically get - mostly motorway to and from college.

Thanks

Nick

my 2003 Yaris diesel has averaged 57mpg over the past 4 years. As it is mainly town driving... a careful driver on motorways could eassily see over 60. But as he is a student (been there, done it) 57 would be a reasonable expectation to plan on.

And £30 tax...

All Yaris diesels are 1.4 litres.as far as I am aware. But there was a power hike from 75 to 85bhp with the new model in 2005 (?) .

Fuel comsumption improved very slightly.
