Hi guys,

Does anybody know if this can be done? If a 1CD engine from an Avensis will fit a Previa? And if it needs modifications.

Cheers.

I assume you are talking of a Previa built after 2000?

yes this can be done i have fitted 2 previas 1 with a 2005 corolla d4d engine and the other with 2004 avensis d4d engine.

there 4 modifictions to do

1: the crank shaft sensor plug is different design to previa and in different position . just extend the wire on the original plug.

2; the injecter pumps are different , this means changing the water pump to house the original previa injecter pump.

3: avensis and corolla use 2 pin injecters and the previa uses 4 pin injecters , these can easily be changed over

4: this 1 is a bit tricky , you have to drill a hole in the block for the engine mounting under the alternater.

both of my previas are 2002 d4d and are still running today, it is posible because i have done them!

I have been told that if you swap the avensis engine for a previa one the previa has alot of engine vibration is this true?
