For peace of mind take it to one of the major Tyre fitting companies, try the one that used to have that anonying TV advert "you cant's get quicker than a .................. They offer a free battery and charging system check. Failing that try a local auto-electrican

That will be a new Battery fitted then......

Only if and when a better one is sourced...as above posts have shown,Mind you she does drive like a elderly person ( sorry mum),sloooooow & diddery....i just dare'nt be passenger with her..:help: bless

Sorry, but you missed it....

RAV4Len, it would appear you have a bad experience with a National tyre company, interesting enough they have never tried to sell us something that we didn't need, however as Rambler is going to use an auto electrician its not really revelant.

Sorry but you also missed the point.

better than a QFF....

National tyres have been brilliant for me in all the years I have used them.

Even had two tyre replaced after a double pot hole blow out in the Lake District :)

Got to agree with Bothy on this one,the Rav had problems with "lazy starting" which led me to have the Battery checked.

It turned out to be dirty heavy contacts in the solonoid not allowing enough power through to give the starter any oomph.

There was a posting recently about this

You mention the heater in your RAV rambler, that's wot we love about ours. I've never owned a car in the past with a heater as good as a RAV4! 5 minutes and it's getting hot! Roasty toasty indeed! We love it :) .

Hi Ady

Yep....the heater in my Rav4 is splendid indeed,.....but on cold cold cold -4 (cold for essex)mornings ,about 5 miles to properly warm up...on a D4D.

But if on front drive with "re-circ" turned on with engine running, heater on full hot blast, about 10 mins......very toasty..mmmmmmm  ..and thawed windows.:D

Lucky :(

My Yaris D4D takes ages to warm up!

The problem is the car is too light so the engine does sod all work; This means great mpg but I can often complete my journey before it reaches operating temperature!

Lucky I have a big warm coat :D
